Have Mercy on Me

5 months into the job and I am feeling the heat. Yes, I have to multi-task, juggle lots of responsiblies and am expected to do excel at them all. Well, that's not the point.

For the uninitiated, I am working in a child care environment. Needless to say, it is a female dominated working environment. Nope. I have nothing against women. I treat all women as equals. We are after all created by the same Creator and belong to the same order of homo saipens. What has been getting on my nerves is the unrealistic expectations being placed on men. Men must be full of initiative, extend the helping hand even when one is juggling unfinished work, help out with heavy loads, always be on the forefront of all situations and circumstances, and the list can go on. Honestly, I am feeling exasperated. Tired and wanting to give up. But something within me tells me to go on and prove those nay sayers wrong.

Well, pardon me now as I go and be a gentleman. (chuckles)
