A Year of Breakthroughs

Reached the church office early today as I was baking brownies with Jun Rong and Jian Hui for youth. Got to join the worship team for a time of prayer and worship before worship practice. The presence of God was strong as we sang to the tune of "I Love You Lord". Got a word of wisdom from the Lord. He assured us all that He loves us and despite out feelings of inadequacy and of our gifts and talents not measuring up, He will add unto us if we are open to Him. This is a year of breakthroughs and He wants to bring the church onto a higher level. He wants us to step out of our comfort zones and be overcomers.

This word was further confirmed during youth later as Pastor Angeli spoke of her desire to see Sembawang Youth become famous, famous for good character and a distinct hunger for God. Somehow, this desire of hers is similar with mine. She asked each youth what their desire for youth was for the new year and Yong Xiang expressed his desire for the ministry to be more than 50 strong at the end of the year. Amen! Indeed, this is a year of breakthroughs, overcoming, conquering fears and limitations!

Lord, let Your will be done in Sembawang Assembly of God!
