Fufilled and Thankful

Hey blog!

It's been a two months hiatus form blogging and I would see it as a good thing but also bad at the same time. Just realised this morning that all my memories would be lost if I did not get back to blogging soon. The reason for the long absence from blogging is the fact that I have been really busy working as a CCPE since the 15th of August. It has been slightly more than a month and I have only good things to say about my job so far.

Guess, so much has transpired over the course of one month that I would have to summarise my experiences.

Day one on the job was a free day for me. Rockey told me to reach school by 8.30am and I did. A mishap almost happened earlier as I took the wrong bus and had to take a taxi instead, for fear of being late on my first day. Reached school very early of course, at 7.50am. Rockey arrived at 8.40am and we were oriented around a little by Ms Chiam, HOD of English, as she stood in for Ms Yap, Vice Principal, who was on a Learning Journey trip. Subsequently, Rockey and I went over to the the room which was to be my office. I was to replace Cynthia, the previous CCPE who was about to leave. We were early and Cynthia, who starts work at 9am did not arrive yet. When she arrived, I was introduced to her and I was told to shadow her for the next two days, till she offically resigned. To cut the long story short, nothing much happened in the period I understudied her and the transition was smooth. As I had nothing much to do, I did a walk around of the school premises on my own on the second day. Paya Lebar Methodist Girls Primary School is a small school but well-facilitated and cosy, I fell in love with my new workplace immediately!

So much for my initiation into my new workplace. Gotta go back to my research paper. To be continued next time....
